1. Our Zero-Data Privacy Philosophy

Naam Dating ("Naam," "we," "our," or "us") is engineered from the ground up as a privacy-first global Malayali dating platform. Unlike traditional dating and matrimonial platforms that harvest, store, and monetize your personal conversations and photographs, Naam operates on a strict Data-Minimization and Zero-Storage Architecture. We do not read, archive, sell, or permanently store your private chats or personal images on our servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect or Store

  • No Chat Storage: All messages, voice notes, and interactions between matched users are transmitted via encrypted, ephemeral channels and stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a central database of your chat history. Once delivered (or deleted by you), messages do not exist on our servers.
  • No Permanent Image Hosting: We do not build permanent cloud repositories of your personal photographs or selfie-verification videos. Profile visuals are processed purely for local display or transient encrypted delivery to authorized matches and are purged immediately upon session completion, profile update, or account deletion.
  • No Raw Contact Book Uploads: When you use our Contact Blocker feature to hide your profile from relatives, coworkers, or acquaintances, Naam does not upload or store your address book names or raw phone numbers. Phone numbers are converted into one-way, irreversible cryptographic hashes (SHA-256) locally on your device solely to prevent mutual profile discovery so blocked contacts never see your profile listed in the app.
  • No Data Selling or Ad Tracking: We never sell, rent, or trade user metadata to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or matrimonial agencies.

3. Minimal Information Processed to Operate the App

To authenticate your account and connect you with verified Malayali singles worldwide, we process only the absolute minimum operational data required:

  • Authentication Credentials: Your mobile phone number or Apple/Google sign-in token (stored in hashed/encrypted form solely for login security and duplicate-account prevention).
  • On-Device Selfie Verification Status: A simple boolean ("Verified: Yes/No") token generated after live selfie verification. The underlying biometric selfie check is processed transiently and discarded immediately after verification.
  • Basic Profile Metadata: Your chosen display name, age/date of birth (to enforce our strict 18+ requirement), gender, and approximate city/region (e.g., Kochi, Bengaluru, Dubai, London, Toronto) to enable regional matching.
  • Device & Security Logs: Minimal, anonymized crash logs and security tokens required under statutory law to prevent spam, bot attacks, and unauthorized access.

4. Built-In Privacy & Women-First Safety Controls

  • OS-Level Anti-Screenshot & Screen-Recording Shield: Naam enforces operating-system-level flags to block screenshots and screen recordings inside the app and deter unauthorized redistribution.
  • Mutual Contact Invisibility: Any contact hash you block will never see your profile listed on the app, and you will never see theirs.
  • Instant Erasure: Deleting your account purges all active session tokens and profile metadata immediately and irreversibly.

5. Compliance with Global Privacy Laws (DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA & UAE PDPL)

Because Naam serves the global Malayali community across India, the GCC, Europe, North America, and Oceania, we comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, India), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable international privacy frameworks.

  • Right to Access, Correction & Erasure: You can modify or permanently erase your account directly inside the app settings with a single tap—no support ticket required.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may revoke device permissions (camera, microphone, location, contacts) at any time via your iOS or Android system settings.

6. Strict 18+ Age Restriction

Naam Dating is strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly allow minors to register. Any account suspected of belonging to a user under 18 is terminated immediately.
